What's On in Liverpool this August
Updated: Aug 8
It's safe to say that summer has been a washout so far. I'm delighted I spent all that time getting the garden ready for you...
Plus, with the school holidays in full swing, it's hard work keeping the family entertained while it's persisting down outside!
Luckily, there's loads you can get up to in our fabulous city regardless of what the weather's doing.
Here are my top picks for What's On in Liverpool this August, as well as what's new at Ethos at The Monro.
A Need for Speed

Indoor activities are always a blessing in British Summer. And they don't get more action-packed than the new Gravity Max in Liverpool ONE.
Located at the former Debenhams site, the venue features a high-speed, multi-level E-Karting track, Augmented Reality bowling, Urban Street Golf, an E-Sports arena, Liverpool's biggest pool hall, and loads more.
There'll also be live music every night across the whopping 100,000 sq. ft attraction.
It all sounds too much for me these days, but I'm sure you and your lot will love it.
Gravity Max opens on Wednesday August 9th. Find out more here.
Nothing is Real

Here's another indoor activity that's loads of fun for the family. And it's just up the road from us.
Quirky Quarter is a world where nothing is quite as it seems. Expect interactive experiences and brain-stimulating workouts that'll blow your mind.
Once you've escaped the hall of mirrors and captured madcap photos, take a short walk down Duke Street for a bite to eat at Ethos. The perfect afternoon!
Crete Eats

Speaking of a bite to eat, we've got a brand new dish for you at Ethos this month, and it's the perfect summer food.
Our Greek Sausage is all the way from sunny Crete to give you a true taste of the islands. We gently sizzle the sausage in honey and lemon before serving with micro-croutons and rocket. Delicious!
Available as a meze plate and on your Bottomless deal.
Get Crafty

Every Monday and Tuesday from August 7th, our neighbours at Liverpool Cathedral offer family-friendly arts and crafts sessions with mascot Derby Mouse.
Each session is free and lasts around 45 minutes. You'll end up with more 'art' to stick on the fridge, but it's a great way to break up any wet and windy summer's day.
Booking is required - find out more here.
Come Together

The biggest celebration of the world's most famous band is back in Liverpool towards the end of the month.
From Wednesday August 23rd to Tuesday August 29th, International Beatle Week will see 70 bands from over 20 countries come together in honour of the Fab Four.
There'll be constant live music at venues across Liverpool, so leave the kids at home and shake it up, baby!
Event packages are available here.
Get Away to Ethos

Despite the rain, Summer has well and truly arrived at Ethos. And it's the perfect getaway from the dark clouds outside.
As well as all the usual deals that make us your favourite Greek Restaurant in Liverpool, we're also announcing a new weekly cocktail to whisk you away to sunnier climes.
So Get Away to Ethos and EAT. DRINK. PLAY. all summer.
