You're here because our roasts have been so popular over the years that search engines insist on showing us in results. 

The bad news is we don't do roasts anymore. Long story. 

 

You may be tempted to click away, yet that would be unwise.

Because I'm about to tell you the better news if you've got sixty seconds or less.

 

The Monro is still famous for serving some of the best food in Liverpool.

Only now, it's authentic Greek. And people in Liverpool are going wild for it

 

That's because you can still get the chicken and beef you crave on a Sunday afternoon. But instead of it coming in slabs, we marinate your meat and serve it in a stunning souvlaki. Delicious. 

 

Instead of roast spuds, you'll get moreish Greek fries. For your sides, you can choose the likes of spicy feta and homemade falafel. Which are much tastier than Aunt Bessie's Yorkshires and frozen veg.

MEZE PLATES
Marinated olives 

Olives steeped in marinade of garlic, herbs, bay & lemon.


Attica Tzatziki

Made fresh by us, super creamy Greek yoghurt & macerated cucumber dip. This recipe is from Attica rather than Cyprus and that means we don't use dill.

Attica Vegan Tzatziki

Made fresh by us, this popular, refreshing cucumber and vegan yoghurt dip is popular with our vegan friends.
 

Spicy feta dip 

Tirokafteri is an irresistibly delicious, roasted red pepper cheese dip. We make it to our own exacting standards.  Authentically smooth with a spicy kick.

Homemade Aegean Falafel & pomegranate

Light & fluffy we love making these precious balls of insane herby flavour.  The sweetness of the pomegranate compliments the earthy tones of the falafel perfectly.


Honeyed Greek sausage with croutons

This sausage is the real deal and we pan fry it in our own single estate, olive oil from our own olive groves near Prygos in Greece. We add a little honey and crunchy croutons to finish. 

Spanakopita - Spinach pasties 

Eaten by almost every Greek every day. Spinach and feta all lovingly wrapped in filo.


Triple Cheese Tiropitakia

Tiropitakia are perfect at anytime of the day. These mouth-watering filo pasties are made with three different creamy cheeses to achieve the heavenly balance between creamy and tangy, all surrounded in crisp filo.


Santorini Hummus 

Our hummus is different to anything you've tasted before, super smooth authentic island recipe that people are going wild about online.


Horiatiki  - Greek salad

Literally meaning "Rural" salad, Horiatiki is presented to you as we make it in our Greek homes. Cucumber, onions, tomatoes, topped off with a slab of real feta and drizzled with our single estate, home grown olive oil.


Hand cut calamari +2

We take the squid and carefully slice it ourselves into bitesize pieces. We then hand flour it with our specially seasoned flour and present them with lemon and home-made aioli.

Chili & garlic prawns +2

Beautiful king prawns are chopped and gently pan fried.


Whitebait 

Like the calamari, we take the raw ingredient - the undressed fish and hand flour it ourselves to our own recipe. It makes for superior whitebait.

Dolmades - Stuffed vine leaves 

Delicious bite size bundles of delicious seasoned, rice cooked in herbs & spices and wrapped with vine leaves and a little olive oil.

False Bay 'Windswept' Sauvignon Blanc, Costal Region, South Africa, 12.5% (vegan). Exceptional costal Sauvignon, where the sea gives the wine a mouth-watering freshness. 

 

Lunetta Prosecco Spumante Brut, Vento, Italy, (vegan)- Italy 

Les Oliviers Merlot Mourvèdre, Languedoc, France, 13.5%
This is a serious Merlot, but juicy enough to enjoy by the glass. 

Amauta Absoluto Malbec, Cafayate, Argentina, 14% (vegan) Inky black and incredibly pure. The Finca Río Seco vineyards are located 1,700 mts above sea level.  

 

Sanvigilio Pinot Grigio Rosé, Lombardy, Italy, 12%
Crisp and delicate Rosé is made by Cavit, an exceptional,
sustainable wine making Co-operative.
